had an overdose of food last weekend!

mom's friend from singapore - aunty olive came down for a visit wf a couple of her friends. it was none other than bringing them to ipoh's best food!

#1 rasa lain!

hurray to claypot crab glass noodles and bouncy fishballs! and got to try the cheese baked prawns which was also a must eat there. prawn was ok but the cheese was zomg cheese-licious! i literally scooped the last cheese there.

#2 tau fu fah

this would be considered the best tau fu fah in ipoh? comparable to funny mountain's! located in bercham, my family will always make a pit stop here after dinner if we were around the area.

this would be the best dinner of all! food was awesome (although a tad slow) but nevertheless worth the wait!

my personal fave would be the fettucini (which was my order). the crispy roasted chicken skin definitely did its best in accompanying the not too creamy pasta. meanwhile for desserts (which is total love!), the bread pudding is a not to be missed! served warm, it was total worth saliva tasting for! but i had to give macaroons a go. too sweet for my liking.

and its end month already! soon to get my first ever paycheck! and my department have moved to a new office room also! so hello to new environment for a new month! =)

was behind the wheel all ALONE today!

after more than 1 week of driving to work wf my dad by my side, i can officially move around alone! but only to work as my sense of direction is total zero! but still, feeling proud of myself. 1/4 road to independence - SUCCESS!

and i got to use my new car sunscreen - a belated birthday present from leong! was feeling ecstatic as i have been searching for a hellokitty sunscreen for long! =)

one step closer to being a kittified car! ♥

nothing much to do yet, but i can imagine myself in chaos moments soon! the only complain would be that my place is so cold that i shiver all the time! thus leading my lips to get dryer and dryer day by day. so hello to many many lip balms and lip gloss!

okay sorry for the short post before this. i just did not have any materials to blog! so i guess im ready to have a new post wf some pictures. =)

like i've mentioned earlier, im really excited for this year's birthday because im 22 on the 22nd! double the happiness i guess. hehe. this birthday would be a little less chaos without the uni mates. i miss celebrating birthdays wf them!

had a be-early celebration wf the family at brewster's. no pictures as i was too lazy to even bring out the camera. yes, im trying my best to not be so lazy! anyway, we ate til we were so stuffed, as most of the dishes that we've ordered were quite meaty & cheesy! and this would be the first time i've been to the new location in greentown ever since it moved from its previous location in old town.

and had another celebration wf yinyin and bernard on the eve of my bday! we had exactly 4 meals for the day! from jusco's mcD to sushi king to de garden's fruit land and our last stop in station one. will post pics once i get it from yin.

besides, i happily pampered myself on my actual day! went for facial wf mummy, and then to jusco where mom bought me a bag that i've wanted in vincci! love the bag once i saw it. and would best use as a working bag. i just realize most of the bags i have are too childish to bring to work!

and the best surprise would be this!

thanks to yin and bernard, i have finally gotten my hands on my dream bag! i had actually blogged about wanting to get this bag here, so hail to my awesome friends!! have to thank ida also for getting and posting it~

besides, bro also got me a present! he got me something that i have already. so happen that the handphone holder was also a bday gift from my friends years back!

my previous one is now used as a cosmetics holder

and i did made one of my most important decision on that day. i've finally accepted a job offer, and if all goes well, i should be starting work next monday! and the great thing is, yinyin is going to be my colleague! from primary to secondary school; to university and being room mates, classmates and group mates; and now to work, i guess we are just fated to be together! =)

and and and, for the past few weeks, i had been appointed to do my family photo album for our shanghai trip. it was usually mom who does them for the past trips, but since i was the super free one - being jobless and doing nothing everyday, i HAD to do it.

but no thanks to me procrastinating, what could easily be done in days took me weeks to finish it! after successfully pasting the last pic, i can say im proud of my work! it really isnt easy to arrange the pics as well as cutting them while writing some notes bout our journey. and besides the fact that the trip was 6 months back, i did tried my best in recollecting the memories! my blog has definitely made it easier as i had already blogged about this.

look at the amount of pics! the above stack is just 1/4 of the total! fitted perfectly into 2 albums~

i think i am most happy when doing on the food

both are from harrods which is a high end department store from London! so yea, the bags arent cheap either.

and apparently there is one in malaysia's klcc! well, i really wanna see the bags live in front of me, so hopefully i'll get a chance to go there soon! =))

went to watch pirates of the caribbean: on stranger's tides this morning!

the movie wasnt so bad after all like all the reviews that i've heard/read. it was acceptable and have always love captain jack sparrow! aye yai! =)

and yay, i've finally finished watching glee season 2! awesome show wf awesome songs. cant wait for season 3! for the time being, gotta keep myself accompanied wf more dramas/movies while waiting for calls.

the drinks in the floating market are served in cute clay cups! and can be brought back as souvenir! got my kitty cup, but unfortunately it fell & broke into pieces in the bus. RIP T.T

hatyai would definitely be one of my most memorable trip as it was my graduation trip! going out of the country wf the besties (and partial of the classmates) was a great post-exams getaway.

#1 some temple which i dont know the name (most probably cause i didnt really bother in listening to the tour guide?)

the place where the body of luang phor thong (former abbot of wat pahkoh) is keeping.

food wasnt great. cannot believe that the tomyum & kerabu failed! which made me think that malaysia still serves better thai food =)

there were variety of food ranging from only rm2!

a panoramic view of the city and the songkhla lake that can be enjoyed on the hilltop.

lots of shops inside selling varieties of stuff - from bags to shoes to groceries! the place where i bought my hellokitty cushion pillow!

a nice place for a great view of hatyai but food choices were limited.

and i think the best food there would be the fried chicken, fishcakes as well as the salad bar! loveeeeeeeeee the pineapples in hatyai. superb sweet & juicy!

spring cleaning

as you have all know, i have graduated! well, not officially though as we are all still waiting for the results but keeping my fingers crossed! soon to say hello to the working world! =)

i've been home for nearly a week already! besides surfing the net, watching the tv as well as playing wf the ipad (tap tap revenge is so addictive!), i've been unpacking my kampar stuffs for the past few days!

like seriously, i have around 7 bags of stuff which takes forever to unpack! which no thanks is mostly contributed by my laziness even though i had applied a "one bag a day" motto (which led to a gap of three to four days soon later!) in order to clear my mess.

and i am most proud of my wardrobe now! did a little bit of reorganization, as well as taking out clothes that i do not/would not wear already. although i see more spaces for new clothings, i guess it would take a little self control to not buy new ones as there are lots more yet to be worn yet!

not super tidy, but this makes me smile.

got these earrings in kampar. couldnt resist these lovelies although i am not one who wears hanging earrings a lot. and i have a collection of earrings which i have yet to wear but it seems to be adding every time! earrings fanatic i guess? LOL.

gotta have this bag besides the fact that its long champ inspired! so cute i think i might use it as my working bag? thanks to kityeang for ordering it for me.

got this from the night market. so cute how to resist!! childish u might called it, but eventually i'll find my way to use it! soon i foresee~ hehe.

won prizes again!! this would be the second time i have won revlon goodies! and the items are part of the latest collection (surveyed on the price too. i can say i managed to save about rm200 on cosmetics?). so thanks to hot magazine and yay to new cosmetics! =)

my best purchase from my graduation trip to hatyai! its seriously cheap that i didnt mind carrying it all the way back! but it does consume most of the space on my bed which led it to being on the floor every morning. teehee =p

im back to home not so sweet home again in kampar. after one long month in ipoh, i do have to admit i missed my friends back here~ so, it was nice seeing them again.

and going to say hello to my first class of my final sem tomorrow! another resolution for myself every sem, which is to talk less, focus more! which i had been failing to do so as can be seen wf my decreased of cgpa. =(

dinner tonight was great but dessert was even better! tried a new shop opened in westlake. yums to taiwanese dessert!

sorry but i forgotten the name but it was a mix of tapioca pearls (black, white, pink!), jelly & ice.

frankly speaking, im not really fond of shanghai's food. its just basic chinese food u can get back here, but much oilier with lots of vinegar. i need soy sauce for goodness sake!!!!

#1 airplane's food!

- hainanese chicken rice & smokey bbq chicken

#2 buffet breakfast at red star culture hotel (hang zhou)

there were varieties of food but it was just so so to me.

am i being too picky?

#3 hua zhong cheng tian wai tian (west lake) ♥

one of our best meals! serves specialty dishes of hangzhou

- (fatty) stewed pork belly, fish marinated wf god-know-what-sauce, fried vermicelli wf vege, deep fried roll, vege sticks (w/out leaves LOL!)

#4 some shop in nanjing road

- stewed pork belly wf noodles, beef noodles, crabmeat siu long baos

#5 some food court in yuyuan garden

i couldnt even say anything good bout this. the food are cheap but taste? NEH.

#6 japanese food

this would be the worst japanese food i've ever eaten. seriously! it was just okay and vege wf vinegar? PLEASE!

like seriously another one of the best food in shanghai! what can go wrong wf fast food??! and the fried chickens are so different frm back home! so good that we went there twice.

bought at a nearby convenience store which we had a tough time deciding which flavor to choose! the cup noodles are omg so darn cheap too!

- yummy meat & fish balls, glutinous rice dumpling wf chili sauce

i preferred the bento sold in taiwan which was much more yummy!

#15 airplane's food again!

officially ended our shanghai trip wf yummy food!

if u notice that there's a ♥ after every label, that means i personally think that the food were good! those without is either so so or not recommended at all!

hello!!!!!!

am finally back in the blogosphere where i can finally do some typing (fb not included lol)! need to work on my brain again as new (and final!) sem is going to start 2 weeks more!

so here is it, my first post for the new year! and no doubt posting about my shanghai trip (after nearly one week of procrastinating)! =3

first post is the places that u should visit while u are in shanghai since the places i've went are all-tourist-must-go ones.

#1 hangzhou's west lake!

the sceneries there are totally breathtaking (not to mention super cold too!). we actually had to go on a mini shuttle to take us to see the whole of west lake! for 1 HOUR!!!! if u notice the second pic on the right, there is actually a wedding photo shoot going on! imagine the coldness! brrrr~

#2 railway station

okay i know that this doesnt suit the where-to-go but it is a MUST to take the bullet train frm hangzhou to shanghai! only 45 minutes with max speed of 353 km/hr (based on observation)! the train is super cozy with nice cafeteria inside too!

#3 nanjing road

a place for shopping & eating! but as its winter now, most of the clothings arent suitable to buy. so that sums up that its zero shopping for me. boohoo.

#4 the bund!

for me, this would be the prettiest place of all! as our hotel is located near the bund, thus we've been there 3 times! the first time we were there, we couldnt see the bund lit up as lights were out at 10pm. second time was that we went there too early! and finally we saw the beautiful lit up bund when we were out for supper on the very same night wf our second time!

#5 yuyuan garden

another place for eating and souvenir hunting. historical buildings make u feel like u are being whisked back to the olden days!

#6 xin tian di

its like walking on a street in paris! the buildings are all ala french & have more modernized architecture style. many alleys could be found which are picture perfect! =D

#7 oriental pearl tv tower

world's third tallest tv & radio tower! what's not to visit?

#8 zhu jia jiao water town

another place with prehistorical buildings where u get to see unique old bridges which is said that "to visit Zhujiajiao without seeing the bridges means that you have not really been to Zhujiajiao at all!". a more calm and relaxing atmosphere to get away from the city stress.

suggested to dine in sushi king due to the salmon fiesta going on. but boy was i disappointed! was pretty excited for the salmon rice burger as i love love love MOS's rice burger! and yeah, malaysia does not have MOS which is pretty saddening =(((

had a random night out to mcD last tues where i ate not once but TWICE! supposedly assignment with hoonglyn & shea ended up with camwhore moments and supper with the housemates. my life is so sinful.

and i miraculously ate a black pepper spicy chicken mcdeluxe at 12 am!! not forgetting sundae cone too. teehee. supper is always a no-no for me but that night was exceptional as i was feeling hungry and the burger is soon to come to an end! =(

we continued our assignment til 4am so hello to mcD's breakfast! do forgive our tired looking faces. lol.

went for teatime at singberry which is located in ipoh garden south. there are lots of strawberries there leaving the cafe to smell like one too! the smell of strawberries is ♥~ =3

there are lots of choices of strawberry juices from detoxing, anti ageing, refreshing, relaxing & milk shakes. mom ordered a mix of strawberry, apple, orange, tomato & carrot for anti ageing while i ordered the juice for refreshing - strawberry & passion fruit.

it turned out mom preferred mine & vice versa! so we ended up switching drinks. lol.

had lunch at the newly opened purple cane tea house yesterday. i've tried the kl branch once few years back, and i was eager to try it once again. =)

2 teapots needed to serve tea.
one is used to store tea leaves, the other is used to pour tea.

lui cha fried rice served with soup (drank using tea cups!) & spicy soft groundnuts

smooth texture but i still prefer creme brulee!

overall, the atmosphere is really nice. it totally reflect what a tea house should looked like! food served are okay but lui cha is really not a fave. a must come for all tea lovers.

went for a one day trip to kl with jiayee to meet our friends yesterday! =)

yinyin was supposed to tag along, but due to unforeseen circumstances, she was unable to go.

reached kl sentral and met with the housemates - paiwoon, paizen, chuiwern & guest of honor seetaohoonglyn! headed to times square straight where all our money flies~

we seriously shopped til we dropped! i may not have bought alot of stuff but i spent the most due to the item below. scroll down!

headed down to kl last week for cousin elaine's farewell.

had lunch at euro deli! =)

euro deli was also having "the matterhorn" challenge - a burger eating contest.

11 slices of swiss cheese with generous slice of tomatoes, gherkins, bacon, lettuce and 1.5kg of pork patty topped with special burger sauce tucked in homemade bun.

prize: free burger (price of RM88++ waived), a mystery gift & cash reward of RM100.

met with a group of people who were taking the challenge. unfortunately, none of the 10 succeeded.

i was scheduled to go back kampar on mon evening with yin. her bro was suppose to fetch us back but it turns out it was a surprise by the "siu"s when i saw them standing right in front of me!

had lunch at kenny rogers which portions are getting smaller & smaller but nevertheless enough for me. bought myself a long cardigan which yin got the same one too. also bought some pore strips & hot magazine which ended my purchase of the day! though there were some things that i wanted to buy but i'll just keep them in mind.

took a break at kopitiam after walking the whole jusco, literally. was also waiting for dearie cheng im who came like 4 hours later? but its okay understood she had something to do. and she make it up by buying a tub of ice-cream! so 5 of us were basically nomming the ice-cream at the food court. i can even feel my whole body shaking after few scoops.

back in ipoh again! i guess i dont have the blogging mojo in me these days. basically doing nothing at all besides watching dramas. lol.

there has been few classes being canceled last minute which made us go to uni for nothing! damn pissed off with the cancellation of one 8am class. it was 8am for goodness sake! and when we reached to the classroom only did we realized that the class is canceled.

food poisoning

i spent my whole day bedridden last sunday.

my plan was to watch the remaining episodes of my guess guess guess dvd or maybe some other movies which i have yet to see. and also pack my clothes plus stuff as i was scheduled to go back the very next morning!

BUT no, everything did not went according to plan as i was down with food poisoning!

the suspected cause was most probably the lalas we had the night before at bukit tambun. we have been there a few times but none of this had ever happen! apparently the lalas does taste weird but nevertheless we just gulp it down to our tummy.

the unfavourable situation made my family (except dad for his incredible tummy!) and dad's friends who happen to dine with us to have diarrhoea the very next day. where mum & i thought it was because of that instant dry mee we had for breakfast! and where we vomitted our mees too. urgh.

and it was definitely no fun at all as i struggled to sleep with my painful tummy! i practically slept the whole day surviving only with a piece of bread, a cup of barley water & 100plus (which contains salt that i needed as i can feel my whole body cramming!!).

thank goodness everyone felt better the next day & mom send me back to kampar the very afternoon. the place is sooooo going to be crossed out from the list but the seafood is still nevertheless great! =)

uni has been okay so far. first week is always superb as there isnt lots to learn/do yet. and i've been basically glued to my lappie watching criminal minds & glee!

and im craving for a lot of food!!!! i want sushi! newyork cheesecake! fried chicken! pizza! =D

but i cant possible eat all for my weight would only increase and i'll end up getting fat! i have still not lose my taiwan fats (which was like last year's?) and im going to australia in august. more to pile on then! =(

went to watch prince of persia: the sand of time yesterday with the siblings. the movie was awesome eventhough i didnt actually watched any jake gyllenhaal movies before. and he was defo great in this!

outing with yeeling & sokyiing last tuesday. we were wearing the exact same top which we bought last time. and i managed to spend ZERO ringgit on clothes (exclude food & karaoke)! was actually hunting for high waisted shorts but there werent any nice ones at sight. and i also saw some kitty flats which were uber cute but i didnt get any.

and i recently got a new haircut after 23354678693763 months of not cutting my hair!

my hair is now short & permed!! i didnt exactly expect to get my hair permed since i always knew perming will make me look twice my age.

i nearly shed tears for this hairstyle as i could not wear any of my clothes anymore! as my clothings are mostly the kawaii type, they do not really match with my hair. like seriously!!!! =(

well, i have said that i am afraid to face the world with my new hairstyle, but as i have already went out the other day so here is a sneak peek of my hair!

and results was released not too long ago. am not satisfied with it but i guess i have to keep working hard the next sem. year 3 is going to be hell hard! going to be whisk back to dearest kampar soon. hello my friends!! =)

spring cleaning!

today is spring cleaning day!

like finally after 143354657686454 days of procrastinating.

well, now my room is less dusty. and more tidy as i tend to throw my stuff everywhereeee!!! but overall, its still the same old room with zero changes. =p

as im rather sensitive to dust, a mask is a MUST!
but i couldnt wear it for long during this hot weather. so hard to breathe!!

and i realize i have this HUGEEEEE collection of chinese mags

i thought of recycling some of the mags (those local ones) but i couldnt choose which to forgo! and therefore, back are they to collect dust in my drawer. aiks.

cleaning took about 3 hours. i even procrastinate when im cleaning! its nice to reminisce some of the good old stuff while blasting the whole house with music =D

and what is best but to end my cleaning with an ice-cream!

hello there!

had not been onlining for days as i've been busy watching my dramas. trying to finish up all if possible! too many waiting in line!

and so far i've finish two shows - hi my sweetheart 海派甜心 and autumn's concerto下一站，幸福 . sorry lah for being so outdated. but i love the main characters from both shows! arghh heart them all!! ♥

and im obsessed with the songs from the show (especially the instrumental ones) im going to find the piano sheets and master the songs!! haha.

few days back, i went to have my photo portrait taken by estee lauder. thanks to the makeup artist & hairstylist, i got a huge makeover for my head! i had super thick makeup on, while my hair was done wavy. i look so mature for once in my life!!

btw false eyelashes are so not comfortable! =D

im too shy to post the pic that i've taken, so therefore, only posting my camwhore pic! teehee.

for around 2 weeks plus only.

and i am done with my exams! no more sucky exams for now. enough of notes and HELLO IPOH! =)

overall my exams were okay. sadly i had two papers which 12 marks had flew away which made me damn down. they were questions that i knew the answers but yet, i do not know why did i stupidly wrote others. stupid me.

and something random during my study break and week.

well, i know that im suppose to studying as my finals is coming (aiks next week!) but my hands are too itchy to stay away from my lappie. hehe.

besides, i wasnt able to online when i got home as my modem was unfortunately struck by thunder. and i obediently did not online in kampar as i was too lazy to even take out my lappie.

and because of that, i turn to movies! and bits of dramas. i've been watching more than i've ever watched during my sem break! lol.

and now im currently browsing through blogshops. toooo tempted to even resist.

on a random note, i got fatter during my study break! aiks i thought ppl are suppose to lose their appetite when they are stress but i tend to eat, eat and eat! and chocs are ♥~

and speaking of chocs, i kinda love kit kat's chunky caramel which i found in the fridge. but unfortunately there was only 1 left. sobs.

our last presentation - human resource management was no doubt the toughest of all!

mainly because the tutor is uber strict where he will either praise or criticize u. which eventually led us to practising our presentation as a group for the very first time!

and our effort definitely paid us well. the words uttered from his mouth were memorable. it is fascinating that such tutor could make a big impact on us. =)

and i bought another rainie album! but its not considered new anymore as it is the ren yi men album which was released 3 years back. and which i've already got the first version.

well, i got it because its on half price! apparently the supplier supplied too much which led the shop to sell it on half price in order to clear stock.

i've been wanting to get this version (since it comes with mv & nicer cover!) but i have already bought the first one in singapore by the time the 2nd version was released.

introducing my bedazzled handphone!

was actually thinking twice whether to bedazzle or not. and at last, well, u can see what decision i've made!

am pretty satisfied overall. the bedazzles came in one set which is only rm9.90! and the owner even helped me to stick them all over my handphone. its a little bit hard to hold now plus extra care is needed to avoid the flowers from falling off! i am striving to keep it as long as possible!

well, i had numerous feedback from exaggerating to ugly & some say its nice! yay! uber loving it ♥~

i also laid my hands on S.H.E's latest album! was actually indecisive of buying the album at first as there were 2 versions of the dvd - 1 with mv & another with concert. and both the versions have different covers! i preferred the concert's cover but i enjoyed watching mvs more than concert. indecisive to the max!! >_<

but i finally chose the one with the mv dvd. though i think its better if i took the one with concert. gosh hate the company who made fans make decisions. ish ish.

the songs are not bad.
i've been listening to the cd even more than i've listened to rainie's cd
(which i think i've only listen twice? =p)

and im officially done with presentations! say hello to temporary freedom til i have to face my finals in 3 weeks time. sigh.
